Natural gas uses

Natural gas is used as a fuel in electricity and generally in industrial production, in commercial facilities (e.g. public buildings, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, etc), housing (heating, cooking, hot water etc) and in vehicle mobility (cars, trucks, buses etc).

In its liquified form it has been recently introduced also in shipping as a marine fuel for commercial and passenger vessels as it combines lower cost and air pollutant emissions when compared with oil products.

The Alexandroupolis INGS floating unit will use LNG for own consumption (power production and regasification).
