LNG Terminal in Alexandroupolis included in the 2nd PCI list

For second consecutive time the LNG terminal in N. Greece located in Alexandroupolis was included in the Projects of Common Interest of the European Union (PCI).
The contribution to energy security in the region, the possibility of gas supply from multiple sources, the market integration both in Greece and the SE Europe were the main selection criteria for the Projects of Common Interest by the European Commission.
Through a difficult process of technical and economic evaluation the project promoter, GASTRADE S.A., demonstrated for second time that the LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis is a project of strategic importance.
